Refresher courses
If you have not been diving for a while, you will want to do a refresher course or refresher dives. After one of our courses, you will be comfortable and confident in the water again, so you can enjoy your diving experiences here in Phuket or at the Similan Islands. These refresher courses are fun, and have the extra advantage that on your following dives there will be no limitations, apart of course from the limitations imposed by your certification. After all, you would not want to come on a liveaboard boat, and have limitations on your first day of diving because your first dive of the day will be a check dive!
Phuket dash Scuba dot Com (diving-phuket.eu), PADI diving courses in Phuket, Thailand, can offer you two different refreshers: the PADI Scuba Review and a daytrip with two refresher dives.

The PADI Scuba Review Program consists of two parts:
a Knowledge Review and
a Confined Water Skills Review.
The Knowledge Review covers the basic safety information divers learn during their entry level training.
The Confined Water Skills Review allows you to practice basic scuba skills. You will perform all the skills you already did for your open water course under guidance of a PADI divemaster or instructor, and thereby update and fine-tune your diving ability.

The charge for the PADI Scuba Review is, including equipment, 2,000 Baht for the first diver and 1,000 Baht for every extra diver, and will take about a half day. |

Together with a divemaster or instructor you will make two dives at Racha Yai. On the way to Racha Yai you will do a PADI Knowledge Review, covering the basic safety information divers learn during their entry level training. At the beginning of the first dive, in sheltered waters, you will do a short skill review. After that it is time for two fundives!
In addition you will also receive an area overview and a briefing on local conditions, hazards and points of interest, including information about aquatic life. We will also inform you about local procedures and habits.

These refresher dives we do at Racha Yai. The costs are 4,000 Baht, including equipment rental, transfers, etc. and take one day. This is possible every day of the week. Against a surcharge you can also do this refresher course at Koh Phi Phi or Racha Noi.
From November through April you can also do the refresher course with Phuket dash Scuba dot Com (diving-phuket.eu) from Kata Beach, again this is possible every day of the week. The charge is 2,600 Baht for two dives from the beach; for two dives from a longtail boat the charge is 4,000 Baht for the first diver, 2,600 Baht for every other diver.
After the refresher course you will want to continue with daytrip diving, all Phuket diving destinations every day of the week, or a liveaboard diving trip to the Similans, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock, Hin Daeng, Hin Muang or the Phi Phi Islands. For the non-divers we have snorkeltrips.
